Azurite malachite is a semi-precious gemstone that combines the colors of two other copper-based gemstones: azurite and malachite:
Azurite
A soft, deep blue mineral that gets its name from the Arabic word lazhward for "blue". Azurite is often found weathering into malachite, which is why the two stones are often found together.
Malachite
A vibrant green stone that gets its name from the Greek word malache, which means "mallow".
Azurite malachite is often cut into cabochons or carved into small objects. It's been used in the arts for centuries, with artists grinding it into paint and dye to create bright cobalt hues that can be seen in many well-known paintings. In ancient Egypt, azurite was also combined with lapis lazuli to create the blue eye of Horus.
Azurite malachite is often found in copper mines, or near mines of other copper-based gemstones like turquoise and chrysocolla.
United as azurite-malachite, it is believed this mineral blends different traits together, freshens the user's outlook on life, as well as dissolving egocentric characteristics; dispelling conceit, arrogance and vanity; calming anxiety and enhancing flexibility in motion and thought.
Azurite malachite sacred stone induces deep relaxation and a deep healing force that dissolves emotional trauma. During meditation, its positive resonance repels and clears negative energy thus having an uninterrupted transmission of spiritual guidance.
